Great Minds Think Alike

And in just in case you thought this series of observations were the musings of a certified right wing loon, it's worth your time to read
The Chicago Observer
for a fresh perspective on the prairie's primordial ooze.

Mea Culpa

"I'd like to cut his nuts off". That's what the REVEREND Jesse Jackson was caught saying into an open microphone in the Fox studios (now how delightfully ironic is that?) about the messiah he so ardently supports for president, senator Barack Obama.

Question #1. Since when do reverends use that kind of language? Oh, wait, a minute, I forgot. It's OK for SOME reverends, like Jeremiah Wright, to scream epithets like "God Damn America" in front of pews filled with the likes of the Obama family, pre-teen impressionable daughters included.

Question #2. Why do so many (we now have 3 when we include the REVEREND Michael Pfleger) preacher men of the cloth surrounding the messiah Obama have such difficulty getting their brains and mouths to work without spewing hatred? What is it about this peaceful messiah that attracts such obviously hate-filled hypocrites to become his apostles? When the REVEREND Al Sharpton finally signs aboard (remember Tawana Brawley?), probably next month, we'll have four of a kind. Now there's a winning hand.

Question #3. If, god-forbid, Obama is elected president, shouldn't we all declare that the war for equal opportunity has been won, and that we can honorably withdraw our troops and money from it? And that generals Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, their ilk and followers, can declare victory and go home forever to the undying accollades from the millions that have reaped the benefits of their many years of service to that cause? Naaahhh. They'll never go away.

Appalled at the Taste

T-Shirt vendors everywhere. Obama's messianic countentance on all of them. Change. Hope. People chanting Oh - Ba - Mah all over the place. It was an embarrassing display, even for Chicago. I don't mind folks trying to make a few bucks off the savior of the day. Heck, they sold Pope stuff in DC for his Holiness' 3 day visit.
But what gets to me is how many millions of people actually buy into this "change" and "hope" BS.

Keep in mind that Obama has risen from the primordial ooze and slime that defines and defiles Illinois politicians from both parties. These of the names of former state governors who have GONE TO JAIL in my lifetime for various crimes: Otto Kerner, Dan Webb, George Ryan. Here's one that testified in defense of both Ryan AND the convicted Sun-Times owner Conrad Black: James R. Thompson. How many states can claim that many CONVICTED FORMER GOVERNORS? And we ain't done yet padding that list.

The current Illinois governor, Rod (the reformer) Blagojevich, now under federal investigation himself, just waved bye-bye to his chief fundraiserTony Rezko, who's headed for the slammer. Oh, and Rezko was Obama's next door neighbor while all that funny fundraising was going on.
Obama endorsed Blagojevich. So much for Obama's god-like judgment.

Obama also endorsed Todd Stroger for chairman of the Cook County board. Stroger just passed the biggest sales tax increase in county history, giving Chicago the highest sales tax rate of any city in the USA.

If this is the kind of Change and Hope Obama stands for, I'll gladly pinch my nose and vote for McCain.
